Never one to do things small, Samsung looks like it is really planning to push the envelope with the Galaxy S5. SamMobile claims to have information from a Samsung insider about what to expect from the company’s next flagship handset. From finally addressing complaints about build quality, to building one of the densest mobile screens, if these specs are accurate, the Galaxy S5 will truly be a big step forward.
Right off the bat, the report notes that the Galaxy S5 will indeed be available in both metal and plastic builds, which has long been rumored. That metal build won’t come cheap, though – it is expected to cost 800 Euros compared to the plastic model’s 650 Euros. Premium price or not, though, it’ll be nice to see Samsung finally offer an alternative to its traditional plastic build. It still isn’t clear, however, if this model of the phone will be marketed with a different name than Galaxy S5 (so far rumors have pointed to a metal phone named the Galaxy F).
