Titanfall looms large on the horizon
Those of you who failed to get an invite to the closed Titanfall beta that started on Friday can stop crying into your gallon-sized tubs of Haggen-Dazs. Developer Respawn Entertainment and Microsoft have opened the beta up to all Xbox One owners as of last night, and Respawn is promising the PC beta will also be open soon, possibly today.
As Micrososft's Larry "Major Nelson:" Hryb announced, the Titanfall beta should now be available under the "New Game Demos" section of the Xbox One game store, without the need for a beta download code. The PC version still needs an Origin code for now, but Respawn co-founder Vince Zampella tweeted yesterday that the "PC [version] will follow, maybe tomorrow."
The expansion of the previously limited beta seems to have been a spontaneous decision to put Titanfall's server infrastructure through the toughest test possible before the game's March 11 release.
