iPhone 5S: The Latest Launch Buzz

Unlike with previous generations of the iPhone, there could be multiple iPhone 5S devices. Colors will be the main distinguishing factor between them. Many reports from reputable supply chain sources have stated that there will be blue, red, yellow, and even gold versions of the iPhone.

With the iPhone 5S buzz becoming more and more prevalent as the release date approaches, rumors about the tons of features and specs that the device might sport are being thrown around. Recently, some people have even suggested that there will be a golden iPhone and many other variations of the device.

Among all of the very plausible rumors, there are some that definitely do not make sense. Since Apple should be launching the iPhone 5S next month, we do, however, have a good idea of what the phone will be like and what features and design changes will be included.

Colors and Fingerprint Sensors

Unlike with previous generations of the iPhone, there could be multiple iPhone 5S devices. Colors will be the main distinguishing factor between them. Many reports from reputable supply chain sources have stated that there will be blue, red, yellow, and even gold versions of the iPhone. Some tech journalists including ones with CNET agree that a gold iPhone makes sense, but the other colors are more likely to make it to market.

One of the very interesting features said to be integrated into the iPhone 5S is a fingerprint sensor. Since business-specific phones already have this type of sensor included in their phones, it makes sense for Apple to include it. If the fingerprint sensor is present in the iPhone 5S, it should be built-in to the home button. It would then be utilized when unlocking the phone and potentially, opening specific applications.

Many users will be happy to hear that it is extremely unlikely that Apple would switch up its charging connector from the lightning port to something else. Last year's change made enough people angry that Apple will likely stick with the lightning connector for at least a few generations.

iOS 7 and a Cheap iPhone

Perhaps the best change to come with the iPhone 5S is iOS 7. This is the only time since Apple released the first iPhone that the operating system -- iOS 7 -- should actually provide a significantly different feel to all current and next-gen iOS devices. With tons of new colors and some cool new features, iOS 7 will bring a much needed refresh to an operating system that has become stale after years of minimal change.

A new, cheaper iPhone may also be coming out around the same time as the iPhone 5S, according to many reports. The iPhone 5C (as some are calling it) will provide a cheaper alternative to its high-end and pricey brother but offer many of the same iPhone features.

The main difference that people will notice with the iPhone 5C is that it includes a plastic backing that will bring down the price of the device right away. Without offering aluminum or glass backings, the iPhone 5C can come in at a much cheaper price.

Analysts are still trying to figure out if Apple will use the iPhone 5C to replace the iPhone 5 or to get rid of the iPhone 4S. Either way, it should sell very well in developing markets and will also be more appealing to parents in the U.S. trying to buy iPhones for their children.

Fingerprint and Touch ID are getting a lot of traction in the news these days as Apple is set to roll out the new iphone 5S with this biometric add-on on September 20th. Touch ID will all but eliminate the need for passwords and pins when using your iphone 5s. But, what happens if you don't have the new phone? What options do users who have an Android, Blackberry or Microsoft device or a iphone 4s, 5 or even new 5c have available to them? EyeVerify!

EyeVerify is the exclusive provider of Eyeprint Verification, a highly accurate biometric
for mobile devices. Eyeprint Verification delivers a password-free mobile experience and secure authentication at a glance. This patented solution uses existing cameras on smartphones to image and pattern match the blood vessels in the whites of the eyes. Best of all, you can get this technology right now for your existing device as long as your device has a 1 mega pixel camera.

Appleā€™s TouchID and the Eyeprint accomplish the same ultimate end goal. It is an accurate, secure & simple way to answer the question "Who is holding the phone?" Eyeprint Verification just happens to be more accessible to more of the population trying to solve the password problem.
