HELIOS LanTest, the Swiss army knife of network performance testing tools, now available as native Windows utility -- HELIOS LanTest is a free network performance tool now available as a native Windows utility for server performance testing of SMB/CIFS server environments of any scale
 



The highly acclaimed HELIOS LanTest is the Swiss army knife of network performance testing used widely around the world, for system administrators managing any scale of network and server environments, from small firms to large international enterprises.

Now available as a native Windows utility, the HELIOS LanTest 6 network performance tool provides a complete range of testing features, for any kind of in-house network environments, testing AFP and SMB network performance, even over very fast network backbones.

LanTest addresses different aspects of user induced network and server load, including file and folder creation, modification, and removal, as well as very large file transfers. Multi-user testing scenarios can be configured with just a few mouse clicks.

New features of HELIOS LanTest 6 network performance tool include:

- Support for up to 40 Gb networks

- Clear, information-rich user interface

- Various testing scenarios for all major AFP and SMB file server solutions

- True cross-platform utility with Mac and Windows native apps

- Save predefined settings for easily reproducible test runs

The new “LanTest” network performance tool for Windows and Mac OS X can be downloaded free of charge from the HELIOS WebShare server http://webshare.helios.de (credentials: tools, tools).
