Yorktel Adds EVP of Operations to U.S. Executive Team -- New Hire Jim DeBlasio Expands Yorktel’s Operations Expertise

Yorktel (@Yorktelcorp), the worldwide leader in video managed services, unified communications (UC) and collaboration, today announced the appointment of Jim DeBlasio as Executive Vice President (EVP) of Operations.

Yorktel works with Fortune 500 enterprises and government agencies worldwide, and empowers its customers to realize the full potential of next-generation video conferencing, media services and visual communications.

In his new position, Mr. DeBlasio will oversee the delivery and continued optimization of Yorktel’s services to both its corporate and federal clientele, in addition to shared internal services. He brings more than 30 years of experience in the Mobility, Optical, Software, and Internet Technology services industries to Yorktel, having held numerous executive leadership posts.

“We are very excited to have someone with Jim‘s tenure and experience onboard; his extensive track record speaks for itself,” says Yorktel CEO, Ron Gaboury. “During his time as President and CEO of Internap Network Services Corporation, Jim initiated a new set of Cloud Technology, IP and Video products and was instrumental in helping the company achieve a doubling in revenue, a dramatic increase in new customers, two of the largest multi-year deals and the first year of Net Income profitability in the company’s history.

“I have the utmost confidence in Jim and believe he will have an almost immediate, significant impact on operations.”

Jim DeBlasio’s hiring marks the fourth addition to Yorktel’s North America Management team in 2013. Earlier this year, the Company welcomed Greg Douglas as Vice President of Business Development for the Public Sector, Dan Missbrenner as Vice President of Commercial Sales for the Western Region, and Victoria Healey as Director of Managed Services.

“This is truly an exciting time for Yorktel,” commented Ron Gaboury.

“As the video communications industry continues to evolve, Yorktel remains uniquely positioned to provide our clients with an unmatched level of expertise, trust, and industry knowledge at an affordable price.

“Our proven approach to UC and video managed services liberates customers from the burden of having to support multiple communications platforms and security protocols by instead choosing a single solution for a cohesive, customized user experience. Yorktel designs, integrates, and manages enterprise-grade video systems that tie meeting rooms, desktops and mobile clients together in a single environment.”

Professional services, management and support expertise, combined with proven best practices and cutting-edge technology, are the cornerstones of Yorktel’s award-winning services, and how Yorktel makes video work.
