IRVINE, Calif., September 30, 2009 -- Epicor Software Corporation (NASDAQ: EPIC), a leading provider of enterprise Relevant Products/Services Relevant Products/Services business software solutions to the midmarket and Global 1000 companies, today announced the general availability of Epicor Mobile Field Service. As the first offering in the new Epicor Mobile product line, Epicor Mobile Field Service provides comprehensive role-specific functionality alongside synchronized enterprise resource planning (ERP) data Relevant Products/Services to field service teams, extending essential business capabilities and insights to the field.

Epicor Mobile Field Service eliminates the data synchronization issues resulting from antiquated technology lacking connectivity between the enterprise and field service staff. With the rapid advancement in mobile device technology and the power of Epicor Mobile, organizations handling intricate field service teams can maintain robust and secure mobile access to key business functions without the need for a continuous connection.

Epicor Mobile Field Service is uniquely designed for the ever-increasing needs of field-based service engineers whose success is linked to accurate and timely information. Featuring in-context, easy-to-use workflows, global positioning system (GPS) support Relevant Products/Services, document attachments, and step-by-step task 'wizards', Epicor Mobile Field Service simplifies job fulfillment and data entry on location.
