Codima Inc. (CDMA.PK) Ramps Up Network Inventory and Performance Introducing Faster Discovery, Customized Live Visio® Views and SNMP Poll Editor

PHILADELPHIA, PA., November 12, 2009 -- Codima Inc. (CDMA.PK), a global provider of integrated network Relevant Products/Services management software products for companies scaling from the small enterprise Relevant Products/Services to the Fortune 100's, today announced the introduction of new additions to Codima Toolbox critical to IT professionals to run their IT networks cost efficiently and improve network performance. The fully automated and fully integrated IT tools autoAsset™, autoMap™ and autoMonitor™ now deliver faster network discovery, the ability to create customized Visio® Live Views and a new method to create SNMP Polling Policies.

Advanced configurable options enable IT Professionals to perform a faster network discovery, saving time and effort. The discovery can be set to obtain connection information for infrastructure Relevant Products/Services devices only. This option is used typically when scanning a network where CDP or NDP are implemented and the user is only interested in switch and router links.

In addition, the Codima network discovery which supports SNMPv3 has been updated to include new devices and vendors in its library. The Codima Device Library of over 5,000 devices now includes more equipment from Cisco, Nortel (Synoptics, Bay), Check Point, Foundry, Netgear, Hitachi Cable, Alaxala, 3COM, Alcatel-Lucent and Extreme.

Codima Inc., a Microsoft Relevant Products/Services® Certified Partner, continues to bring visibility into IT networks using Microsoft® Office Visio® to visualize IT assets and pinpoint network problems. The network maps are created directly in Visio® diagramming any IT network.

IT Professionals can now easily customize the Visio® Views by cherry picking devices and ports they wish to include in the Visio® Views, the system Relevant Products/Services then automatically produces a new custom view showing only the selected devices and their port connections.

The Codima Mapping approach does not get in a tangle, for example when mapping larger networks the user can open Visio® Views that focus on the infrastructure devices or the subnets.

Introducing the SNMP Poll Editor, Codima simplifies the process to create SNMP Polling Policies for network monitoring. The SNMP Poll Editor provides IT Professionals with several options to filter the discovery database and locate the devices/ports to poll. There is also a fast option that involves selecting the devices/ports to poll directly from the Visio® Views. (continued...)
