Moreover, the end-user has complete control over various power -conserving functions, such as backlight time-out, display time-out, and onboard light-sensor enable/disable.
The new smartphone features a 2.2-inch, 64K-color TFT screen that offers 176 x 220-pixel resolution, 64 MB of ROM, 32 MB of SDRAM, an infra-red port, and even Bluetooth capability. In addition, the camera can be used to shoot video clips with maximum resolution of 176 x 144 pixels that can be stored as MPEG-4, H.263, or Motion-JPEG AVI files.
Over and above the unit's standard cellular keypad, the SMT5600 sports a 5-way navigation control plus two "soft keys" for accessing various on-screen functions. The remaining handset controls and communication ports are located on the top, bottom and sides of the handset: power-on button and infra-red port (top), mini audio jack and mini-USB port (bottom), volume up/down control (left spine) and camera button (right spine).
